Me and my… Quarantine Diary-The Happy days (Part – 2B)

Dancing in the moonlight while she’s tearing in her eyes

And I don’t want to see you cry

But I ain’t never be the one that stayed the night

Read this part of the quarantine diaries, till the end cause I am sure you will giggle throughout.

My first try after 4 years. Let me know if you like it.

I painted again today! yay!! I think you will relate to this. Have you ever felt like you suck at something but one day you sit, take time and do the task and you yourself are stunned by the results. That was me this afternoon. Pablo Picasso would be proud (laughing emojis)

Quarantine really stirred every emotion that I had in me. But we are going to continue to cherish the positives as I promised (catch up on part 2A , you are gonna love it). I am sure either you will be shocked or will learn something. Albert Einstein would be proud (referred him just because it was about learning!)

Although I happily cried several times during this time. Sometimes things are so good that you can’t stop the tears from flowing. Think about it (cry once again, laughing emojis). Mine was when during a video call with my uncles, aunts and cousins I felt that they were near but yet so far. I literally crave for their hugs, our laughter, our togetherness. This lockdown has actually taken us to a point where we crave their touch.

Warm hugs coming your way!

We now realize how difficult it is to stay in our homes. I often used to get tired by the six days a week routine but now I don’t wanna stay in the house anymore. We gotta go out and get work done. Dude I haven’t had Taco Bell in 6 months, my stomach is craving there unlimited cold drink (laughing emojis).

Don’t you feel how difficult it is to stay away from the people we love. Distance was like an exam for all our relations. The people whom we lost touch with, weren’t meant to be in our life. I miss going out with my best friend so much. I am even missing taking 250 photos of her and getting a reply “you don’t know how to click pictures let it be”.

Did you also realize the effort our home maker mums or dads do to keep the house together. Dude I almost broke my back when I tried to broom the house, burnt myself a multiple times trying to cook and I still don’t know how to do the laundry. Our mums are right! we really are good for nothing (laughing emojis).

And lord save me from giving technology lessons to my parents. I swear the amount of times I have gulped my anger and frustration is more than the amount of time I have scrolled through Instagram. I once read somewhere that when your parents don’t understand something try teaching them like they did when you were a child. They never shouted at us (or maybe they did, who knows I don’t have such a sharp memory). They explained to us a zillion times so don’t we owe them! Next time your mom asks how to login to an Instagram account or your dad asks how to use WhatsApp just remember that they have cleaned up your poop. So shut up and help them.

Did you also tear the board games (not literally) by playing them every day or am I just the one? I have lost count of how many times I have played Ludo, carrom, badminton, Snakes and Ladders etc. We still play it every night. Its a routine now and winning still gets me hyped up.

For those who didn’t know these games.

I’m so done with scrolling through social media sites in this quarantine that I actually picked up my books. When I was looking at every girl dancing on ‘tkn by Travis Scott’ or the couples who are #goals or the Tiktok Trends that have started appearing in the reels section of Instagram, I lost patience. Come on man I didn’t install Tik Tok for a reason. Mark Zuckerberg really wants Instagram on another level (fed up emoji).

I shopped online like crazy. It felt like my life was devoid of air and shopping helped me breathe. (Hi5 fellow binge shopper). RIP bank account.

I hope I wasn’t the only one who tried “living like a millionaire for a day” video on YouTube. Dude if my body was capable to hustle that much I could be standing next to Kylie Jenner right now. I can’t keep my dishes in the sink and you expect me to wake up at 5 a.m. , workout at 5:15 a.m. , meditate at 6:15 a.m., then make my breakfast, eat it and then work throughout the day. I am already out of breath just writing this. Now we know why we are here counting the movies we watched and why a millionaire is counting the number of bucks they earned in the last 10 minutes.

I tried eating healthy but the box of nutella was feeling sad sooo…(I gave it company…didn’t finish in a day I promise).

Can you imagine it took us a whole 6 months of lockdown to analyse what we should not be doing in our lives. As soon as this opens we got to do something man. We ain’t getting a six-month vacation like this ever again. This quarantine is the time to prepare. Do a Chloe Ting workout, trim our bellies, grow our booties, pump are muscles and prepare ourselves to face the world. We gotta write our goals set a playlist and work nonstop. Just like we binge a show, we have to pull an all nighter for work.

You and I can do this I just know it. Don’t question no no no. No second guessing. Deep down we know what would we be doing. So keep your phone down and start (of course after completing the blog, smirk emoji).

Did you notice The Quarantine diary part 1 (the dark side) ended in a three fourth blog rest one fourth was Pep talk. And writing the positives is taking me ages. Such is life. Good Vibes don’t end. We just need to acknowledge them. It’s our choice to be sad or happy in life. We choose to cry tears of sorrow or tears of happiness (also did you know tears help our eyelashes grow, heart eye emoji).

Journal Time: I will give you a task. Spare 15 minutes and do it. Write 10 things that made you happy in these six months. I bet you will not stop at just 10. There are are so many things to cherish. Let’s step out from the prison of negativity and let the sunlight soak in. Life is always better than you think it is.
