Biology will always remain my first love!
I was in the 6th grade when we were taken on a tour of the biology lab. In our school, this was a new place for me. And after touring and listening to the teacher for a bit, I saw something really interesting. It was an animal that was kept in a jar. It was preserved to be kept as a specimen.
My mind could not understand what was going on, so I raised my hand and asked, “Are these real?” The teacher replied, “That’s a great question. Yes, the skin is real, but it is stuffed with other materials for preservation.” And just this fact was the start of my curiosity about living beings and I knew biology was the way to go.
So I continued feeding into my curiosity and took science with biology and maths in classes 11 and 12. Then I did my graduation in life sciences and then my masters in biotechnology. Then, I made the calculated decision to give a chance to my passion for blogging. I gave myself a year, and in that year I made my website, started social media, and thought I could get a job in social media. I did get one to see what it feels like, but I didn’t like it very much. It felt like if I used all my creativity in other people’s work, I wouldn’t be able to be my best in my own.
So I turned back to my comfort space, my biology bubble, if you will. I enrolled in B.Ed., and here we are. Now I am revising all the classes I plan to teach and this is a whole new world in itself. My mom is a teacher and has been since the time I can remember. I always used to imitate her, act like I was teaching a class, make an attendance register, make notes, and scold imaginary children. I even made a separate signature for the index.
So if any teacher is reading this, I would like you to drop down the best thing about this profession and something that you would like me to know. I will be forever grateful.
Until next time, Adios amigo!
When I decided to become a teacher, the first school I wanted to apply to was my school. My experience in a convent school was something I lived for. You can read about my story HERE!
