MindOomph Shorts No. 84: Less is more, isn’t it?

Sometimes you do less, and things just turn out fine!

You know, it’s funny how we often feel like we need to be constantly doing more, striving harder, and pushing ourselves to the limit. But sometimes, when we take a step back and do less, things actually turn out just fine. I’ve noticed this in my own life countless times. There have been moments when I’ve been so caught up in trying to control every little detail and micromanage every aspect of my life that I end up feeling stressed out and overwhelmed.

But then, there are those rare occasions when I decide to take a different approach—to let go of the need to control everything and just go with the flow. And you know what? More often than not, things somehow manage to work themselves out. It’s like there’s a natural order to things, a rhythm and flow that we can tap into if we just allow ourselves to step back and trust in the process. Instead of constantly trying to force outcomes and make things happen on our own terms, sometimes it’s better to surrender to the universe and let things unfold as they may.

Of course, this isn’t to say that we should just sit back and do nothing. It’s important to take action and pursue our goals with determination and perseverance. But there’s also a time for patience and acceptance—a time to recognize that not everything is within our control.

And you know what? When we give ourselves permission to ease up a bit and take a more relaxed and laid-back approach to life, we often find that things actually start to fall into place more effortlessly. It’s like we’re no longer swimming against the current but rather going with the flow and allowing life to carry us where we need to be.

So the next time you find yourself feeling overwhelmed or stressed out, try taking a step back and doing a little less. Trust in the process, have faith that things will work out in the end, and allow yourself the space to breathe and just be. You might be surprised at how much easier life feels when you let go of the need to control everything and simply allow things to unfold naturally.

Until next time, Adios amigo!

Because sometimes less is more, I think we should be grateful for what we have. I wrote about it a while back; you can read it HERE!
