When there is a storm, that is when you realize the difference between a sheltered flower and a wildflower.
I am currently watching a K drama called “Agency.” And it reminds me of the time when I worked at one and how it wasn’t really a pleasant experience. The employees in the agency are bonded by the trauma caused by the workload. No matter how much we try to adjust, we find ourselves stuck with either an arrogant and rude boss, a manager who’s worse, unending loads of work, or messed-up mental health.
I couldn’t survive there for long because I consider myself ‘a sheltered flower’. But even for the ‘wildflowers‘, it’s a tough environment to grow in. But my question is: WHY? Why do things have to be this way? Why do others have to be made to feel unworthy? I understand that without pressure, we tend to slack off. Without rules and strategies in place, a company can’t be run. I also understand that all people aren’t the same and everyone has a bad side, which appears in the most stressful situations.
I hope someday someone can create a place that an employee likes. A place where they feel taken care of and don’t try to take advantage. Is that too much to ask? Maybe someday there will be a place where the stormy weather is just a passing phase, not a constant. 🌧️🌼
Until next time, Adios amigo!
