Do you have faith in God?
I was in the metro today, and a boy nearly one year old was running around the pole in the metro. Each time he went around it, his mother held him at the end. After a few rounds, he just let himself fall because he knew his mother would catch him.
And this got me thinking, Why don’t we have such faith in God? Yes, our parents can’t always be near us to protect us, but we have God. If a child, without a single doubt, can trust that when he falls, his mother will catch him, why can’t we have the faith that no matter how high we fall, God will save us?
And if you don’t believe in God, I hope you still believe in some kind of higher power. Because I do, and that helps me lift the weight over my shoulders. I know that I might fall, but there is always someone to catch me. I will never be alone in any problematic phase of my life. And this gives me security.
Having faith doesn’t mean you mess up all the time and take no responsibility. But it means that after you give your best, you surrender. Knowing that a higher power is looking after you at all times makes the journey more fun. Don’t you think?
The plan doesn’t always go how we want it to, but knowing that it will go better than we could ever imagine is even better. And most importantly, this faith is bound by no conditions. It is just a comfort blanket that we can snuggle with secretly forever.
Until next time, Adios amigo!
My relationship with God has improved as time has passed. A long time ago, I wrote a message to God, which is still close to my heart. You can read it HERE!
