My parents were OK with it!
Just like Farhan from “3 Idiots,” my parents have always been supportive of my dreams. I remember watching that movie and feeling a deep resonance with Farhan’s character, his struggle to follow his passion despite familial expectations. Luckily, my own journey has been somewhat similar, albeit with its own twists and turns.
Growing up, I was always encouraged to explore my interests and pursue what made me happy. My parents never imposed their own ambitions on me, but instead, they nurtured my curiosity and allowed me to discover my own path. Whether it was joining clubs, trying out different hobbies, or exploring various career options, they were there every step of the way, cheering me on.
Of course, there were moments of doubt and uncertainty. Like Farhan, I questioned whether I was making the right choices, whether I was living up to my parents’ expectations. But through it all, they remained steadfast in their support, reminding me that my happiness and fulfillment were what truly mattered.
One of the most significant moments of my journey was when I decided to pursue a creative field—a choice that some might consider unconventional or risky. But my parents never once wavered in their belief in me. They saw my passion and talent, and they encouraged me to follow my heart, just like Farhan’s father eventually did in the movie.
It wasn’t always easy, though. There were challenges along the way, moments of doubt and setbacks that made me question whether I was on the right path. But every time I faltered, my parents were there to lift me up, to remind me of my worth and potential. Their unwavering support gave me the strength to keep pushing forward, just like Farhan found the courage to pursue his passion for wildlife photography.
Looking back, I realize how fortunate I am to have parents who believe in me so deeply. Not everyone is as lucky, and I’m grateful every day for the love and encouragement they’ve given me. Their faith in my abilities has been a guiding light, helping me navigate the ups and downs of life with confidence and resilience.
So, to all the Farhans out there, and to anyone who’s ever dared to chase their dreams against the odds, remember this: you are not alone. With the love and support of those who believe in you, anything is possible. So keep dreaming, keep striving, and never lose sight of what truly makes you happy.
Until next time, Adios amigo!
Kudos to both my parents for always believing in me in their own ways, especially my father, whose unique perspective didn’t let me get ahead of myself while staying motivated. You can read about it HERE!
