A few days ago I was scrolling through Instagram and I came across a parody video about the college in which I got my admission done. I am not naming the university (mostly because many of you would not be aware and also because it’s private, pun intended (winky face)).
It is a private college so you know it. Its huge. It’s like an autonomous city.
In case you wanted to see how lavish it is!
Yep you gotta sell your kidney to pay the fees (just kidding). By God’s grace and unlimited taunts by my parents I paid the fees for it.
Now something you should know about me (hi blog friend) I am not a person who can clear entrances. At least that’s what I have observed or maybe I just don’t work hard enough (Damn self introspection thoughts came through) (crying in the corner). Now the problem is not that I am going to a private college. The problem is it’s environment. The type of high class, rich, ill-mannered and drug addict kids (not judging at all *smirkes *) that go there are an issue. I always wanted a high-class, well-behaved, poised environment but when your financial status doesn’t match, how do you expect me to cope.
Anyways, all this bank balance pressure has thankfully never phased me. Accept this one time when my best friend, went into a shop (brand alert) and picked 7 outfits without looking at the tag (bruh I wish I was richer) . I told my sister about this (yeah the same sister from me and my…jealousy blog, wow you remembered) . (Life advice alert) She said “the price tag doesn’t define how the clothes will look. You decide how you want them to look on you. If you can carry a less pricey outfit elegantly , boom (firecracker emoji) you are a Queen (or a prince, hail gender equality).
Since then my perspective changed. But the problem is, company. It’s said that the type of people you surround yourself with, is the person you are planning to become. (And trust me I don’t want to be a drug addict (laughing emojis)). So I decided to set a rule book that I just pray to God I should follow. ★ Do not smoke or drink. You have been clean for more than five months now. Do not break. ★ Do not let rich kids influence you. ★ Build a high-class personality. ★ Learn about the life of a rich person so that you can aspire to become one.
But I know right it’s easier said than done. I do question myself sometimes (sometimes = daily) . My mum says I have potential to clear the government entrance test. But you know me, I don’t study then how in the f****** World do I clear it. And it’s not that I haven’t acknowledged why I don’t study. Yep just like you I use my phone way too much (laughing emojis). The moment I pick up my book, I think of another task I could be doing. I don’t regret going into a private college. It is kinda getting me closer to my vision. I will be able to enhance my personality, my communication skills and who knows I might start studying (fingers crossed) . Why look at the negatives when you can cherish the positives right! (Waddup Me and my…attitude blog reference)
I guess this ride is also gonna be a roller coaster. I scare myself by overthinking but also this excites me too. Of course I will keep you updated (eye roll).
