MindOomph Shorts No. 90: Good things can’t be trusted!

Is this double-edged sword good for me?

You know, it’s funny how sometimes the things we wish for don’t always turn out the way we expect them to. It’s like we’re so focused on what we want that we don’t stop to think about the consequences. I’ve had moments in my life where I’ve wished for something so badly, only to have it come back to bite me in the end. It’s like I was so fixated on getting what I wanted that I didn’t stop to consider whether it was truly good for me.

And you know what? Looking back, I realize that sometimes our wishes are fulfilled not by God, but by the Devil. It’s like he’s playing tricks on us, tempting us with things that seem good on the surface but end up leading us down a dark path. That’s why it’s so important to be careful what we wish for. We need to think long and hard about our desires and consider whether they align with our values and beliefs. Because sometimes what we think we want isn’t actually what’s best for us.

So next time you find yourself wishing for something, take a moment to pause and reflect. Ask yourself if this is truly what you want, or if it’s just a fleeting desire that will ultimately leave you feeling empty and unsatisfied. And remember, just because something seems good in the moment doesn’t mean it’s good for you in the long run. So be careful what you wish for, because you never know who might be listening.

Until next time, Adios amigo!
