Me and My… Sneaky Drinking adventures (It’s a secret)

I drink ’til I’m drunk (yeah), smoke ’til I’m high (yeah)

Castle on the hill (well damn), wake up in the sky

You can’t tell me I ain’t fly (you can’t tell me I ain’t fly)

I know I’m super fly (I know), I know I’m super fly

Bruno Mars (Song: Wake up in the sky)

Gear up guys! (laughing + crying emojis) for this ride coz you might laugh, feel pity or feel excited. Let’s get real today! I am probably gonna embarrass myself so apologies for that. And for the record I drink rarely. (I don’t know who I am lying to)(laughing emojis)

Storytime No. 1

So this is the time from 12th grade when I was out with my cousins for my first drink ever. Eight of us went out to drink. Of course our parents didn’t know (incase you were wondering). So we stepped inside the bar. The Bartender after giving us a look guided us to our seats. We got seated and ordered a beer Tower. First time as you know the taste felt disgusting. We finished and roamed around the place a little bit. No issues. We thought we had covered up well and everything was going smoothly. Until…

After a few days my mum started giving me a silent treatment. That too a wild one. The one where she doesn’t talk, doesn’t look at me, doesn’t help me with anything. And I just knew what is about to go down. It was that gut feeling roaring at me that there is something wrong. So (laughing already) as a 17 year old I didn’t have the courage to confront my mom (did I tell you she is a “strict parent”, it’s a Nightmare trust me). So I wrote a note which was basically was an acceptance letter for my mistake, also an apology and a promise that I won’t do it again (little did she know…..hahaha). I put that it into the sugar container coz I knew she would read it the first thing in the morning when she proceeds to make the morning tea.

The next day my mum called me (I knew my plan had worked) to “talk”. I started the conversation with an apology. After that I didn’t get a chance to speak because my mom’s lecture didn’t stop until at least an hour later. Now the question was who in the freaking world told the parents about it? I talked to all my cousins and they too had received “the talk”. A few days passed and I got to know that one of are cousins had spilled this tea in front of her mom. And her mom (my aunt) thought it was a good idea to tell this news to our entire family. The next thing you know is I was banned from any and every cousin gathering. Yep I told you my parents are strict. Though the situation got better with time and now we are chill.

I’m a 90’s kid. So this is how we used to look back then. (I’m the one in the red top) omg such a flashback.

Storytime No. 2

Ok so this is a story from my second year in college. We had an unofficial party in the club. A whole crowd from the college attended it. Now something about me and my best friend is that we can drink a decent amount. (Not bragging though). We entered the party 2 hours late and got to know that the party was about to end in one and half hour. We looked at each other and instantly knew we were heading towards the booze. A senior (drunk) accompanied us.

I knew how much alcohol I could take. But surprisingly I didn’t know that my best friend would go bonkers. We danced like crazy. After sometime things got out of control. So out of control that when I talk to those seniors now they call my best friend “the one who shouldn’t drink coz she can’t take it”. Yep after the drinks she fell on the floor at least three times. I picked her up somehow and got her seated. I got her food but she denied. My entire class was convincing her to eat and were calming her down but she was enjoying way too much (laughing emojis)

2 girls, one with specs, clubbing, green light

Blurry night. I managed to get a photo. (I’m the one in the specs btw)

She didn’t leave my hand even for a second. Legit man. She kept repeating “don’t leave me here alone Nayan”. Then she fell asleep on the sofa, woke up after 10 minutes and instantly wanted to dance again. She dragged me along with her. She fell again but this time the guard showed us the way out. Getting kicked out of the club for the first time in my entire life wasn’t pleasant at all (I have been to the club a total of three times only so don’t judge me, Winky face). I took her to a staircase outside, a few seniors accompanied us.

You won’t believe she caught one of the guy’s hand, leaned on him and hugged him for at least 20 minutes straight. I got her water and a lemon so that she could get her act together. A very funny thing happened next. So a girl (also drunk) came to sit next to my BFF. My BFF told that girl “bro I want this guy. He is so polite and genuine”. You wanna know who that guy was? It was that girl’s boyfriend. (I bet you laughed at this). That girl made a cringy face and left.

Now my BFF couldn’t go back to her house alone like this and I couldn’t take her to my house (for obvious parental reasons (crying emoji)). So I took a cab and we left for our friend’s apartment. I called my mum and told her that my BFF took a shot of vodka and now she is drunk and I can’t get her in front of Papa in this condition.(the things we do for our besties, #relatable). The cab left us at a walking distance from the apartment. Suddenly my BFF wanted ice cream. Yep her cravings I tell you. I got her an ice cream. A while later she dropped it and herself fell down twice.

All of this on the her 5 min walk to the place. We reached and my friend got her changed. She entertained us in her drunken state for another 40 minutes and dozed off. I too was dizzy the entire time. So you can imagine how it was. Didn’t ever think that I won’t be in contact with her, but here we are. Another Ex Best Friend added to the list.

I hope you all had a good time laughing even without a drink in hand (coz I did too).

Until next time, Adiós amigos.
